VINEA VENTIS

Franciacorta Rosé

The Franciacorta Rosé represents a true symbol of the Lombard winemaking tradition, in particular in the region of the same name located in the province of Brescia.
It is a rosé sparkling wine.
The grapes are harvested by hand and only the best bunches are selected, however the underlying philosophy is modern, based on the constraints of consumption and human interference with nature.

Franciacorta Rosé uses grape varieties Pinot Noir in purity. In some cases, Pinot Noir bases are added to Pinot Noir and Chardonnays, albeit to a lesser extent. After the harvest, the grapes are softly pressed and then pressed to obtain the must.

Only indigenous yeasts are used in the preparation to guarantee the authenticity of the final result. It is during this phase that fermentation occurs and carbon dioxide is produced, a process known as foaming.

The extraction takes place in the bottle and, as previously mentioned, its duration varies depending on the type of rosé: it ranges from 24 months for the non-vintage to at least 60 months for the Riserva.

The production of Franciacorta Rosè ends with the removal of the cap and the addition of a mixture of sugar and base wine. In this way the quantity of sparkling wine is determined.

The name Franciacorta Rosé highlights an important quality of this sparkling wine, its rosé colour, more or less depending on the type. If you add a base of Pinot Noir or Chardonnay, the color will be lighter. In any case the foam is delicate and elegant. The nose is complex but balanced, dominated by floral and red fruit aromas such as blackcurrant and blueberry.
On the palate it is fresh and lively with a long and harmonious finish.

Delicate and intense, Franciacorta Rosé is excellent with fish-based first courses such as seafood pasta and seafood risotto. It also pairs perfectly with soups and fried fish, grilled meats, sushi and Japanese dishes in general.
The same goes for fresh or mature cheeses and light appetizers. Franciacorta Rosé is also a good choice with fruit or creamy desserts. Some people like this wine with lamb and mushroom risotto.
